Not sure if this has been asked already...
I still run the original STi-R on my ride. Would the antenna from the original STi-R work with the ALP add-on module? Considering getting the module if it will work with my original setup. Thanks in advance!

Honestly its never been tested but they used different CPU's so its possible they communicate differently.

Got an answer from AL to my question...
"I am interested in the radar/GPS module for my ALP system. I own an original
STi-R radar detector (not the STi-R Plus). Will the radar/GPS module work with
the original STi-R antenna?"
Answer from AL:
"Yes, it will work with all models of STiR antenna.

I agree but the Sti-R Original did not have any of the GPS functions so it would not really be much different. In reality if you add the GPS to the ALP the Sti-R Original could be quieter in the integration since you could use the Savvy type muting. I still dont think anyone tested an original antenna.

Interesting, if you decide to go this route, be sure to let us know how it works!
The best detector ever made, paired with the best jammer ever made... that'll be something.

I don't use the gps features on my Stir+. I run Waze and alp connect on the same device, with alp in the backround. Running it this way is a pain in the ass to view every alert frequency and mute false alerts and then having Waze run in the foreground again. It is especially a pain in the ass when caught behind a car with blind spot monitors. If I could run a split screen of Waze and alp connect, I would like it a lot more.

Android O/S will soon have split screen capability.
