View Full Version : New install need help! weird beeps on start up
I just had a new alp quad with the StiR+ installed in my new car and I had a some trouble installing the settings. So I performed a factory reset, the update on the firmware and the control set, and installed my settings. But now after start up I get 5 red beeps, 6 blue flashes, and 3 red beeps. What does this mean? Am I protected from laser?

This issue was handled via PM. Issue is with the RG Module and member will need to go back to installer and have them verify they connected it to the right port.

Thanks BRD!
I received a PM asking if I could share what the problem was and figured it would be a good idea to post the full answer for anyone else with this error if they are searching the forum.
There were actually two error codes going off here. If you use ALP Connect you will get a detailed description of the errors which makes it easy to diagnose and once the WiFi is released the system will give verbal warnings which will greatly help in troubleshooting. The warnings here were "GPS Antenna Disconnected" & "Radar Antenna Disconnected".
The customer had both options enabled in the setup file but neither were connected to the ALP. Once the settings file was corrected with both no longer activated the system there were no longer any errors.

Is there a way to get error codes if you don't have the BT module or ALP Connect? Are error codes included in any statistics/log files downloaded into a USB drive?

Not at this time. You can eliminate most errors by pulling a stats report and it will show your original configuration of sensors and your current configuration so if its a sensor issue its easily to detect.
Connected sensors
Connected sensors when manually memorized Front1, Front2, Rear1, Rear2
Connected sensor (actual) Front1, Front2, Rear1, Rear2
So if actual is different you will easily see which sensor has an issue.
We are recording various instructions for HiFi so in the future the system will tell you whats wrong in a clear voice.
