In the Herald on front page shows a pic of a polis on a try pod side of road, and the usual takes pictures on eight lanes

NSW: Follow the URL as speeding in different zones can cost more or less...
http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/usingroads/penalties/speeding.html
We only get 12 points to play with over a 3 year period...
So, in short, its really strict here compared to the USA...

They run under the mind set, the car is in YOUR NAME, so you take the point hint unless you can prove someone else was driving.
Eg make them sign the STAT DEC on the fine paper work.
Lovely isn't it... :)

That sucks... Out here in MD if I remember correctly it was $50 and no points. The cameras were sending out millions of notices a year so its a cash cow.

WILL THE NEW CAMERAS IMPROVE ROAD SAFETY? HAVE YOUR SAY BELOW
The ageing mobile cameras now used rake in more than $100 million a year in Victoria alone; state-of-the-art supercams could easily double that.

Once Gatso is Phased out due to Victoria buying 400 poliscans and ditching gatso as camera car !
I'm going to be able to run Ka band on only and Laser resulting in faster detection rate
NO MORE KBAND imagine this Cm enthusiast heaven !
Atm I run my Bel Stir+ on Kband 2 + KaSw only everything else off laser on the ALP!
This seems ideal for cm's

Doing that now but with low power K, Ka and Laser

Last time I was in VIC, I got I/O Kband...
And here is a list for you to have a look at. Quite a bit of K & KA stuff
ROAD SAFETY (GENERAL) AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2013 (SR NO 118 OF 2013) - REG 4
Prescribed speed detectors
(1) Regulation 41(b)(i) and (iii) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 [1] are revoked .

(3) For regulation 41(c) of the Road Safety (General) Regulations 2009 substitute —

Indeed, those two on k- band with polarised low power antennas will give you some fun. Haven't got round to testing my Raptor K-band yet, but the 8mW max output/range can be varied in the setup between 1- 5, so the max output/range will be just over 1 mW, and you'll need you RD mounted vertically for best results

Yes 100% run vertical those pesky low powered polarized Gatso were a problem not anymore,
Note Victoria are phasing out Gatso for Poliscan and Thats my main encounters are Ka bands and mobile cameras ! When this happens Vic going onto Laser and Ka band it be Cm enthusist heaven , At present we still have K , For next 2 years according to Victoria budget then on with Poliscan and off with the gatso !
However it has been not once I detected a K band off police vehicle not being HWY patrol or 4WD let alone seen them use that Falcon ,
The Raptor is not widely used or any other K band threat except the Gatso ,
Note Ive never had 1 speeding ticket due to my set up of ALP and Stir+,
( The Stir+ is about to be upgraded any suggestions on a upgrade ),
For news articles Vic Pol may say Radar gun hiding in bushes , It's a prolaser 3 or 4 or if you google the pic usually it's four or more years old if its falcon
My mate has works in Ford service department where police cars at serviced , He only ever has got pics of the Stalker dual, Pro laser 3/4, Ultralyte's, Eagle,
I trust my set up unless I'm facing a MRCD ,
For a long time I ran my KSW and gave up as there nothing out here in Victoria except K2 and Ka and laser thats saved me 100% the time touch wood!
I've done extensive research on the road in Victoria and know they are running on Ka band , and not once seen K Band radar when they pass me even when I ran on adjusted settings,
If any new members pop up from Melbourne love to hear from them, Not enough people from Victoria to input
I'm 100% we are all Ka here on the eagle providing enough detection,
I turn on KSW sometime I very well may find I missing something ! In City K bands are running everywhere off doors alarms
Thanks for the warning except I seen this regulation before and have not gone further with it after using the Stir+ for 6 months with KSW on drove me nuts!
Driving with K2 seems being okay for me , Interesting about that I/O ,
Off to work Have Gday will let you know if I see any K bands besides a Gatso !
