First Save With My New ALP

Happened this morning. Driving 80km in a 50km zone. I was just keeping up with traffic. ALP goes berserk, yellow light on Control Module goes off and the unmistakable sound of Lidar. Got shot from behind. JTK and save. When I drove back after getting coffee, I saw a city of Barrie LEO on a motorbike with a customer pulled over on the side of the road. LIDAR gun was on his the seat of his motorbike. Save #1, thanks ALP!

I believe that they use DALA in Barrie. Wolfpac, correct me if I am wrong please?

I don't have a dash-cam YET. I don't know what gun it was as I just use the Control Module only. It's okay until the Hi-Fi module comes out. I need to get a dash-cam soon though. Costco has a great deal on the BlackVue 500 right now.

And yes, Barrie is infested with the DALA now. That's why I ditched both sets of LI's.

I've sent Tom and Mirage emails about my system. I can NOT pull the stats from my system. I don't know why. Maybe because I have both systems in Privacy Mode. Tom was going to contact ALP's engineers to see if there is another way to pull stats. It's on the back burner for now. My suggestion for you is don't run your system in privacy mode. I have to because of where I live.

Sorry, I actually forgot to get back to you. (I have a lot going on lately) You SHOULD be able to pull a statistics file but your USB Drive will have to have the Key on it and you also need to wait until the system goes into defense mode to initiate it. (Blinking Blue)

How does the Control module differenciate rear from front ?
What is your volume setting ?

Your timing of switch could'nt be better.

Led is red for front and red/yellow for rear, that might be just yellow for rear but looked mixed with red to me.

The sounds for front and rear hits are also different. This one was screaming at me when the light turned yellow. I'm glad I switched when I did. The DALA is everywhere here. Volume is set to 5, I may lower it though as 5 is very, very loud. Really need to get a dash-cam.

I've never seen a Compact in town. Just the regular DALA. I was shown it by the LEO who gave me a ticket a year ago December. They use the PL4 in my hometown as well. To date, I've seen the Laser Atlanta - R, LTI Ultralyte, Truspeed, PL4 and of course the DALA.

Good to learn this , i was scratching my head as how this could work ?
since the system needs the privacy key inserted , and at the same time
needs another key to pull the setup.alp file ... equation resolved !

The beauty is the tight relationship between the user\seller\maker ...mission impossible
in this world of profits first ....where the customer can go to hell ... we got the $ :boxing:
