Programming issue

I downloaded the files today and the control box firmware and setup are successful but the controller firmware is still at 2.9 instead of 3.1

I have checked the file names multiple times, for the controller update I turned alp on, plugged usb in, turned alp off & back on again.

What would be the simplest way to start from scratch as though it were just out of the box?

I dont even see controller firmware on my App under system info--seems like you are doing it correctly

You would not see the Control Set firmware because you are using ALP Connect. I think AL forgot to update the Control Set firmware online. They are already out for the day but I will confirm tomorrow. The difference from 2.9 and 3.1 would not even be noticeable unless you were running the RG Module.

Okay, well now I don't feel like an idiot, except that I should have just asked before wasting an hour trying to troubleshoot the (non) problem.

Spoke with AL and they tell me they corrected the Control Set firmware online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for bring it to our attention.

The issue is that AL forgot to put the new control set firmware up on the website. Therefore if you downloaded it and it was already installed nothing would happen. Which is what FJR1300 was seeing. It should be updated now so just make sure to download the latest and you should be GTG.

If you just downloaded the files you are good. If you downloaded them on the 8th you will just have to download a new UCSET file to bring it current. Its not an important update but and you would not notice the difference but if you want to keep current use the current file.

If you are not using the control module and using ALP Connect instead you will not need to update the controller since you are not using it.
