In preparation for the VPR firmware release, I thought you might want to take a look at an interesting video. As many of you know, the conventional method for handling these variants of the VPR guns is to treat each variant as a new gun. Here is one example where this conventional method FAILS and results in a miss by all other laser jammer companies with the exception of AL. The new AL firmware that releases tomorrow handled this version of the gun WITHOUT a firmware update. It also had never seen this gun prior to it being shot by me. So the question you have to ask yourself is: if the other jammer companies missed this gun, how many more did they miss?

So are there more that the other guys missed?

Just wanted to show everyone that this firmware is much more than just a compact fix!

Can't wait. My wife told me while watching the video that "the new laser jammer made that exact noise the other day on the highway". She said she was coming up to a bridge on a major hwy when it went off, and my daughter actually turned it off with the kill switch. She said she saw someone standing off to the side of the overpass, but didn't think he was a cop, so she didn't shut off the unit :apathy: Looks like we already have one save in the books. She knows now exactly what the alert is responding to. Lucky she didn't get pulled over.

It might be wise to set your wife's car for a timed jam. 3-5 seconds should be more than enough. That way she doesn't accidentally JTG.

Maybe a good idea. She hates the traffic Coppers here as much as I do. The only thing is, in the past she has JTG'd them on purpose. I've already read her the riot act about that but she is set in her ways.

If she plays that game you will eventually loose LID = Unlimited. AntiLaser already removed the option in some countries. Set an LID time and let it automatically kill.

I'm so glad I went with the ALP just from the enthusiasm and effort the whole RALETC team is putting into this unit being the best ever and investment into the future of CM's. This hobby/way of life/driving needs to instill confidence for those of us who depend on what we invest in.... I don't even have my unit out of the box yet (long story) and I already feel better and more excited about its capabilities....

Impressive detection capabilities of the ALP. :)
I am interested in seeing this thing in action in the field mounted a variety of vehicles.
