Here is the first try. Any suggestions?

I wont be with the gang , but i would suggest , though easier said than done :

1)someone take pictures of the front and rear of each tested car , so we get whole picture of the defendant,color\shape\placement at glance.
Perhaps even try to set the camera with the negative filter : the black of the sensors will popup white...

2) If time allows , run in a pack 3 to 4 , as in reality , and have a report from each driver about alert\reflexion

3) for those who can , run the reception mode in the pack above so to avoid interference.

Have a fruitfull day.

I don't know if anyone's checking this thread while at the meet, but someone presented a scenario on RDF that should be tested.

Someone mentioned that if you shoot a TSS at an LI, then afterward shoot a PL3, the PL3 will get IPT. I don't know if he power cycled the LI in between each gun or not, but this scenario should be tested while people and the guns are all together.

I've tested it. It will if you shoot immediately afterwards because LI remembers the last gun shot to avoid an additional lookup during trigger cycling. If you cycle the LI your fine.

Others have tested and not replicated this issue. Perhaps it only affects certain CPUs? I wonder if the affected CPUs are older ones?

I don't believe it is an issue. It's just the nature of the jammer. It all depends on the amount of time spent between switching guns. I can't remember the exact timeout Cliff told me once, but it's been a long time.

FYI the team tested this today and did not find any issues with the latest LI 8.15 firmware.

I just got home. Overall a very good day. I got to meet three members of the community that I haven't met before. We got to test two ALP installations, an LI installation and did some Veil testing.

Here are some highlights.
Car without any jammers and with out Veil, LIDAR used DALA: 3900 feet
Same car with Veil on headlights and fog lights no license plate: 1300 feet

LI 8.15 vs. Truspeed S now is JTG. A big improvement from 8.14
LI 8.15 vs. DET Compact: No alert no jam
LI 8.15 vs DALA #5 no alert no jam
LI 8.15 vs Stalker XLR alert no jam
ALP vs. DALA #5 alert no jam
ALP vs. DET Compact: Winner: ALP by a knockout.
LI 8.15: We did not experience the TSS followed by IPT when shot with PL4 and PL3 and we shot the TSS for the first half of the run waited a few seconds and then shot it with a pl3 or pl4.

Veil Guy needs to buy a DeLorean.

Why no jam from alp vs number 5?

We are researching why it didn't work today because it did work previously on my car (on beta firmware). So at this point its under investigation.

radargeek

Too bad I missed it. Every northeast meet that happens I can never make it. Being a wage slave sucks, and weekends are way too short. Maybe I need a DeLorean too, with the time travel package.

Some people on RDF still are reporting PL3 issues with 8.15, but nailing down a pattern has as of yet been impossible. We seemed to rule out the TSS-followed-by-PL3 theory I came up with this morning.

I would like to also note that the v1 detector alerted to all
lidar guns used.

Thanks for the results guys! I would like to know why the DALA #5 gave the ALP such a problem. Mirage is on top of it.

Its a Brand New gun that has never seen this ALP firmware. While the LI was quiet to this one as well the ALP did alert immediately. Some past beta firmware we have run Jammed it already but the latest production release did not. We will investigate and get it resolved quickly.

Veil Guy needs to buy a DeLorean.

...Only if it comes with a flux capacitor. :)

That DALA was brutal! The metalic silver E39 is like a worst case scenario and was, no doubt, the easiest car to target with no CMs. Next car I bring to the test will be more reasonable target. Old jammers coming off and set of ALPs going on in their place on that one! 3900 feet with nothing on? Ouch!

Not to mention it was catching all kinds of scatter while the guns were pointing away from it.

hey guys, any word on the mid/end of July meet up? It would be exciting to see the variety of lidar guns that are tested on the ALPs.
