Does anyone know if you can use the LI key fob to trigger and or test alerts against the ALP? Just curious before mine goes way of ebay. Auction ends tomorrow.

Thanks!

You bet! All it does is is use its IR LED to emit pulse patterns that match those of certain lidar guns, and any jammer which recognizes those patterns will respond accordingly. :)

I scope tested mine a little while ago and if you're curious, here's what the patterns look like. :)

First off, the keyfob tester itself.

Hey Vortex
Always wondered, what is the software you have used to capture the pulses?
Is it a homemade Ipad scope, with a simple IR receiver circuit connected to the 3.5mm audio jack

Or is that actually your output from a real scope?

I have 1 too and it works 100% ,
The Alp is rather strong like a forcefield around your car!

I imagine he's using an Optical Photo-IR diode ckt. (see Guys of Lidar) & capturing the PRR on a Laptop digital oscilloscope app.

I use two breakout boards and connect a LI head to them. Then use a picoscope to capture the data. Here are some pics:

This is an example of my pulse logger.

Looks like it sold. You can always buy another one. You will love the way the ALP works. I should get the blinder in the wife's car up on ebay.

You're spot on. It's done on an iPad, converting an IR photodiode to the 3.5mm audio jack plug and then running an app called "Oscilloscope." Another really good one is "FFT Plot" by the same manufacturer.

Here's the app in action:

Here's the components:

and here it is put together to measure from a KGE instead of Lidar. (The mess of wires on the protoboard also includes other projects. You don't need nearly that many wires...) :)

Yes it will work with any jammer. If it doesnt there is probably something wrong with your jammer.
