I'll be able to answer this question myself once I get my newly acquired unit installed. Until then, I'm just curious if it's going to be loud enough to hear with the radio on.
Also, will the unit still produce audible alerts when it's connected to a BT device? I hope the system will support Android soon since that's what I'm using. :encouragement:

Pretty loud on max setting. You'd probably hear it unless you're at max volume on a decent car stereo.

Thanks. I'm going to try to bench check the unit today or tomorrow.
Might need to place the CPU under the passenger seat, which isn't going to be an ideal location.

Sound does not come from the CPU. The speaker is built into the control module.

Good design. :)

The maximum volume is lower than I hoped. It's about 1/2 the loudness of my radar detector. Hope it's enough.
1151 (The clip makes it sound louder than it really is).
Maybe the non-parking alerts are more attention getting?

Laser alerts are slightly louder. If you keep it on 5 you should have no issues. I keep mine on 4 and its fine for me.

The laser alert tones are more intense.
