Hi guys, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a long time member from one of the "other" forums (since 06) but I haven't really posted much. I have owned RD's for years and I have bought veil, Blinder M20's, and LI quads on my last vehicle which I recently sold. I still have my V1 and a Escort X50. I just brought a new truck and I will be purchasing a new work van and my new fun car is on its way!! I had planned to install LI's on both my work van and fun car but after a Google search and a reputable installer in LI informing me that the ALP's were a better jammer I started questioning myself and what I had learned to be the best jammers on the market.

Back in 08' or so I met with other members of the "other" forum to test our jammers in NJ. It was an excellent day and my LI's were JTG all the way! All the guys were great. But when I recently asked questions on the forum about which was a better jammer the LI's or the ALP's and the issue with the Ally guns, no one would answer me for awhile. I got one response that basically said Li's are the best and Cliff has the best service. I agree about Cliff, he's a great guy and great service but nobody would touch my question until 1 brave soul sent me a PM about that forum being owned by LI and they frowned upon such questions. He told me to do a google search and check out other forums. Before I could reply and thank him, he was BANNED! I couldn't believe it. He actually said in his PM he might get banned and he was. WtF?

Anyways, I have read several posts and viewed some videos and I plan on buying at least 2 ALP systems, maybe 3. A quad for my fun car, dual upfront for my work van and possibly a set for the truck. I hope the buying experience from AL is as good as it was from LI. I hope to learn more about these systems and countermeasures and actually meet with some members to test them out. Hopefully I can contribute some as well. Even though this is a long winded post, I usually don't post too much.:joyous:

See ya around :eagerness:

Welcome to the forum. I dont want to seem bias with my feelings on this issue so I will let others answer your question but I can tell that the ALP is by far the best laser defense system around. Check out some of the posts in the AntiLaser section and ask as many questions that you need. All the ALP users are on this forum and they can answer all your questions. Other forums as you can tell hide all the positive ALP information and try to make it look like it does not exist. I think having them remove all positive responses and ban people who discuss it only lets people know how really good the product is that the competition will do anything to hide information on the product.

Welcome aboard. As long as you stay informed you can read through other's agenda. Where are you from?

Welcome & glad you found all of us here before the pm was also removed. I'm not a member of rd.net and never was, but I do lurk there sometimes. I saw your post/thread, and the answer the now banned member posted. I knew, from past observation that that was exactly what would happen, I'm only surprised that the pm made it through to you. It's unfortunate that the other forums continue to try to downplay the ALP's out of unethical business practices and personal snits. While BRD owns this forum, he allows full and open discussion here of all products, whether he sells them or competes against them. All that is asked of anyone here is to act fairly. It's a shame that the other forums can't seem to abide by the same rules.

Thanks guys for the welcoming. Thx1138 I'm from queens NYC.

Its sad to see how some forums respond but I think competition is great for this industry because it improves the product for which we are spending a lot of cash on, which In turn the improved product will help save us from getting a ticket which can be just as costly and definitely more headaches.

Just today on my way to a customer I'm moving along with traffic on the SS parkway at about 75 MPH. PSL is 55, which nobody does, I see a Leo shooting laser hiding In some trees on the right. I wasn't stopped but man I hate driving naked without jammers!

Only in NY can you travel PSL+15 and most of the time not get pulled over. Reminds when I go back to Brooklyn to see my parents how everyone in Staten Island drives 65+ while the posted limit is 50. In some places 5-10 over and you are toast.

Hey it happens, I tried posting a unfavorable review of the LSP on escorts website and that never saw the light of day. The other forums are not bad its just not a place to get down and dirty with what is considered the "best." As with other CM measures its either the best or zero, that might not be fair but thats just the way it goes. Welcome.

Welcome to the forum. You will find a familiar face here that performed LIDAR testing for you.

Having tested the LI and the ALP, the Al Priority is the better jammer. I currently have LIs on two of my cars and will be swapping them out in a month.

Feel free to ask questions and participate in the discussions.

Welcome from Oz.

Been running a quint ALP on one of my cars since last July, and will definitely swap out my LI quad on my other car in the next few months for another quint ALP.

The options coming out, the speed of the updates, incorporating users comments and beating the unjammable are number one :)

You guys really know how to make a guy feel welcome!! 2014 should be a fun spring, summer and fall. After this winter I plan to have a ton of fun and driving once my car comes in. Since I don't own any guns I will attend any testing events withing the Tri-state area and I will chip in on costs for those that have the guns and rentals, just like we did last time. I'll post my head placement questions in the appropriate forum when the time comes.

Thanks again!

George
