No, I had a cheap Whistler or Cobra before that. In early 2002, I bought a V1 after my first speeding citation; upgraded the firmware about a year back.

I've been lucky so far in Florida, but don't want to push my luck anymore. Now, I need to find a good installer in central Florida before I place my ALP order.

I am sure you can do it your-self , plenty of experts here to help you , the hardest part is passing
the wires thru the firewall ....the balance is cake.
