I know DragonEye have opened an office here in Australia, but has anyone heard of any rumors to purchase their products? Or worse implement them?

I had heard that they were loaning samples when they first opened shop. Not sure if and how many they sold yet.

Heard there are units out on loan to interested parties for trial.
I think we should now be protected with the latest AU firmware update for the ALP should they appear in the wild.

When I spoke with Tim when I collected my modules he mentioned that he had already requested DALA support for the AU region. That was just before Xmas, so hopefully has made it into the latest update (haven't updated mine yet)

Keep an eye out on your state government gazette, as newly approved speed enforcement devices are added to the State Road Traffic Act when they are approved for use, although doesn't mean they are deployed straight away (such as VPS in QLD)

There is alot on that list that are not in used anymore, I have been hit by a DALA yet.
Still waiting to see the legal papers of my mate that got a ticket on his motorbike, as his lawyer told him it was a non-approved gun.

Seems to have been a recent addition of Redlex stuff on the SA list ;
(db) REDFLEXpoint-to-point camera system manufactured by Redflex Traffic Systems Pty Ltd, linked to and used in conjunction with an induction loop vehicle detector;
(e) REDFLEXred-speed HDX system manufactured by Redflex Traffic Systems Pty Ltd, linked to and used in conjunction with an induction loop vehicle detector;
(ea) REDFLEXred-speed HDX system manufactured by Redflex Traffic Systems Pty Ltd, linked to and used in conjunction with an induction loop vehicle detector, a Variable Speed Limit Sign and a closed-circuit television camera;

We still got melbVt here, he will probably see it first then if its been approved for Vic. Wonder how many units they lent to SA, I like being hit by UL's, I don't want DALA in the wild.

from what i have read, not all units approved for use actually get used. Gov is on the war path so time to be careful.

Well researched. I got caught up at
"prescribed illicit drug" means—
(a) methylamphetamine; or
(ab) 3, 4-Methylenedioxy- N -Methylamphetamine (MDMA);
(b) delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol;
I think that means if you're only high on (3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine; tenamfetamine) MDA, then you're fine to drive?

Please dont tell me that KS is having a crack a VPS/DET with the PL4Idk but out of that list the older lidars aren't a threat.Awile ago I called it that other manufacturers would be doing what dragon did.The PL4 is a nice safisticated unit.
