Since I had ALP systems installed in both of my cars in 2015/2016, I have successfully used Verbatim 8GB Pinstripe Flash Drives, with no problems whatsoever caused by the Verbatim 8GB Flash Drives.

I recall reading, years ago, that flash drives with a low capacity should be used, and that some people have had problems using a flash drive with high capacities.

Question: Would it be OK for me to use Verbatim 16GB flash drives to load new updates into my ALP systems? Or, does anyone know if the 16GB flash drives are too large in their capacity and would cause possible problems?

Thanks in advance for your advice/experience/recommendations.

Thanks in advance for your advice/experience/recommendations.16GB USB 2.0 Drives should work fine. Sandisk seem to work best just make sure its 16GB or less and native 2.0 not USB 3.0 and you should not have an issue.

OK, Thank you very much for your reply and the information. I do use Sandisk SD/SDHC/SDXC Memory Cards in my SLR Digital Camera, and they work fine, so I'll try the Sandisk flash drives for my ALP update use. The Verbatim 8GB Flash Drives that I have been using are 2.0. I'll try the Sandisk 16GB 2.0 Flash Drives and see how they perform for updates to my ALP systems.

I have used a Samsung USB 3.0 256GB without problem.

Did you run it without issues for extended periods of time, Dragons?
