View Full Version : Hello all!
Long time jammer first time posting.
Ive had the ALP system for 4-5 years now/over 3 cars. Looking to possibly update some parts before I install on my new Panamera and looking for some advice.
I have some install photos on my last cars for others as well once im a member. Hope all is well with everyone and be safe driving this weekend. Cops are definitely out

What kind of advice are you looking for? Do you have any specific questions?

Hello p911 & welcome to the Forum.
Trying to decide whether or not to upgrade my net radar to the net radar dsp. As I understand it, its more so for MRCD which is only in Canada right now. Any advice?

DSP is also more sensitive that the original NT which is based on an Analog platform while the DSP is a Digital platform. If you only have a front NR, moving the front antenna to the rear and adding the new DSP in front will give you radar direction if that is something you might be interested in.

Thanks for the advise, I ended up getting the dsp. Since I haven't spend any money on this stuff in 5 years I think its a good update. Also don't think MRCD will be out of the east coast for much longer. Will post pics of the new install late June hopefully!
On a quick side note, any advise on placing Perspex in front of the jammer? Its good for stealth but not sure how much it effects jamming. thx

On a quick side note, any advise on placing Perspex in front of the jammer? Its good for stealth but not sure how much it effects jamming. thxShouldn't be a problem if you use a thin piece. I know of 2 installs done this way & I personally Tested 1 of them myself w 9 different Lidar guns.
Thanks for the advise!
Id also, like to share a customer service story with ALP:
After about 1.5 years one of my ALP laser jammers began to fail and give a false poliscan alert. I immediately knew something was wrong as the app would give me a warning the system wasn't working correctly. I called ALP and they said to send in the jammer. A week later my replaced new jammer arrived. This is exactly why no one should be buying any anti jammer system beside ALP. Not only is it the best, the customer service is great and fast. And for some reason its ~$1000 cheaper then the escort equivalent. I owned the 9500 CI and it wasn't bad but ALP is no doubt 1000x better. Been saved at least 10-15 times. Not tryna bash escort and lets be honest not many people use dragon eye, the fact its actually cost more than ALP is ludicrous. Anyways not trying to plug products but when something is signqfiactly better than the completion and run really well I think it should be said.
