Hey All
So as per the title i'm looking at making my install more stealth by the means of making covers from 962 Infrared Acrylic to hide my Alp heads.
I must give credit to the person that has done this on their Tesla model S and yes that's where I'm getting the idea from.
The reason I'd like to do this is because laser jammers are illegal in our area and i'm worried that one day my luck might run out.
Few things I'd like to know:
Has anyone else tried this and done any sort of testing?
Besides Perspex 962 Infrared Acrylic is there another options?
For anyone that's curious my local supplier for Perspex 962 Infrared Acrylic allows 90% IR transmission with max transmission from 850nm and goes past 1100nm.
Any advice or information would be awesome
Thanks All

Awesome, Thanks for the information Deano. Did you notice any reduction in performance ?
I currently have 3 heads on the rear and 3 heads up front on 2 different systems. Biggest threat we face here is the Poliscan followed by trucams and pro laser. I'm hoping with this I can create a nice factory finish where it doesn't attract attention to the heads.

i cant really say mate in performance has he had only a small size ute 4 heads up front and 4 head at the rear ..heads where also angled for curtain reasons ... he was still JTG with older lider guns at that given time he also had some good results against the poliscan ...my self followed his set up for the poliscan ..i have some wins against the poliscan but also a few fails ..bearing in mind i drive a different larger vehicle

Thanks AllYes it already has been done before. I worked w/ a local installer early last year to help meet the needs of one of his clients who required this type of stealth install. I also Tested the system after completion & he was extremely pleased w/ the results.
Go to the "Show Off Your Install" thread here & find the listing for "2017 Porsche Macan".

REDROCKET THANK YOU!!!!!
This perfect. I'm currently in the process of getting the IR plastic. Will then come up with ideas on how to fit it and make it look nice.
We have heaps of poliscans in our area so will do some testing of my own to make sure that i don't have any issues or blocking
