I am new here and am looking for: 1) suggestions for placing quintuple ALP heads (3 front, 2 back) in BMW 2018 M550, 2) great installer in Northwest Ohio / Detroit area. I figure the car is too low for Tx head on the front and wonder about the value of one on the back. The vertical "kidney grill" vents are "active" in that they open and close depending on car speed and engine venting needs and thus heads cannot be placed behind them.

Thanks in advance.58885889

I have a triple with TX on my Infiniti Q50S. RX heads are below my plate about 12" apart, and TX is at the top of my grill 25" off ground, offset 3" to passenger side. JTG against DE (2017 model). A TX would probably fit between your vertical grill slats, so it's worth a look.

The 3 Front Transponders could be mounted at the TOP area of the lower grill. Keep spacing between the Center one to each of the 'outside' ones to ~20-22" (no more than a max of 24"). The center Transponder must be wired to the F2 Port of the Control Box.

For the Rear I would use 3 & a TX in the center location on the flat area above the LP.

Here is your placements--center rear would be a reg or TX sensor--your choice.

You cant mount a TX down that low in the center on the front. TX Sensors need to be a minimum of 20" off the ground.

Yep--He recognized that in his first post and going with 3 reg in front and was going to put one in the rear!
