How to rule out errors? Any log possibility?

Hi! I got a strange problem and maybe you can help me

My setup: fw 5.2.5 together with 1 sensor, radar antenna, gps and private mode. Everything worked pretty well for 2 years but some days ago I recognized that the device is not going "blue"/LID mode when driving - the led remains green. Not good

First I thought that this is just a gps issue (as it turns green when beeing slow) but it turns out that the system is not going into LID mode at all (just tested with the laser tester now).

How can I pinpoint the problem and assure that I am in defense/interfere mode?

I think the laser sensor should be ok as parking distance is recognized correctly.

I resetted to factory settings and reconfigured my settings but the problems remains.

Powercycling doesnt do the trick to get into blue / LID mode again but un/replugging the usb key does sometimes - so I also reformatted the keychain, tried another one.

All in all it seems pretty random if the system goes into blue mode or not. Is there any chance to get kinda logfile out written to the usb chain to find out what the problem is?

    My Config: config.txt

Do you have your Privacy Key on the USB Drive? If not there is no way this unit would do back into defense mode without it. Privacy Mode is not something once enabled that could be disabled later.

Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

Yes - the keyfile is of course on the stick. As the systems comes into blue mode sometimes after replugging the USB key I am sure that the file itself is ok too. (same md5 checksum as my backup)

Correct! Small European Convertible, Troopers only Shooting from the front and seemed to work: got 7 savings, never got stopped. :-)
I would have added a Sensor if I ever got measured...

Check with your local distributor and see if they can get you an updated key to try.

Just a crazy hunch but are you using the USB extension cable? Check that for damage and that it's snug on the CPU end. Also try plugging the drive directly into the CPU without the extension to see if that makes any difference. Lastly, make sure you use a USB 2.0 drive and not a 3.0.

Thats a good idea and matches the random behavior of NON-LID together with the still working parking sensor! Its a hidden installation and the visible part of the cable is ok. I will have to disassemble some parts to a have a look on the CPU so give me some days for feedback

And its the original USB 2.0 steelish USB key
