    IIRC, ArcticGT350 mentioned in another post of his, that he has an ALP Quint system with Net Radar.

    Hifi vs BT

    If both are installed, is it possible to choose the one you want and deactivate the other?

    If ALP Connect is running and connected, BT will control. Kill the App, or disconnect, and HIFI takes over.

    Not sure - the two I have from ALP are this one ;

    The pin-out looks like it could be different for the ALP than that mentioned in the link. I need a magnifying glass to see the exact pin out colours !

    Before looking at an Escort Radar Detector you should really check out Uniden Detectors.. Uniden R1 & R3 are the best performing radar detectors for the money.

    GPS unit, instalation, I am also interested as to the best location. My 1st thought is that it will need a clear view of the sky, Proven suggestions are welcome.
    I will be installing shortly, but have not received it yet, for all I know the included instructions will guide me correctly.

    Somewhere dry inside the car but not in direct sunlight & not behind or underneath metal stuctures.
