Issue with new ALP Setup - Please Help

    Hi,

I had a Quad ALP setup installed by RadarRob in early October. The initial install went pretty smooth along with the testing. The BT app was working fine with my Samsung Note 4 as well.

I normally only use my car on the weekends, so the next weekend I start my car and the BT is no longer working. I can see that it is connecting fine because the led on the BT unit is flashing, but the application is saying otherwise. I keep getting an error returned to me in the app: "Please update the firmware to 4.5.1 or above."

I tried reinstalling the setup file after restoring to factory settings.
    1. USB is a brand new working 16gb Sandisk 2.0 (Also tried a brand new working 64gb PNY 2.0 stick).
    2. Formatted to FAT32.
    3. Empty besides the setup.alp file (also tried just performing a firmware upgrade as well).
    4. Tried recreating new setup files from alpupdate site multiple times.
    5. Turn car off, unplug bt unit, connect standard controller harness, plug in usb, turn car on.
    6. ALP boots up normally to green flashing lights, which then turn blue after a minute.

This happens every time I try to update. I've tried it many many times now and I can't get the unit to update at all. I even bought an IPod Touch to test the BT, since I heard the IOS app is a bit more stable. Nothing. The unit works with the regular controller I THINK (Have yet to get hit by laser, but the parking detection is working). I've also done a sensor test and everything rings up fine.

Forgot to mention I tried registering the control unit and heads, since I saw that was an issue for one person when trying to update just the firmware.*

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Everything seems to be working normal except you are having a BT issue and if I guessed you probably have an Android Phone with Android 5.0 or higher. Try uninstalling the app, reboot the phone and try installing it again. If it still give you an error you can send the BT module in for service. BY Default the ALP will go into parking mode (Green) for 60 seconds before it switches over to defense mode (Blue), You also can not update new firmware and files if there are no changes the ALP will ignore the updates.

That would make sense why it would ignore my usbs then. If I did a factory reset though, shouldn't it take my the setup file, since the settings would be all at their default values? I've tried uninstalling/installing the app numerous times as well as rebooting. I've even tried an ipod touch, but I'm still unable to connect via bt.

Settings file takes 1 second to load and you would not even notice it loading. Send in the BT module for service if you are still getting that message.
