You can't jam what you can't see, no matter how good your algorithms are. Getting sensors that small to be sensitive is the tough part. It's easy to make a camera small, for example (there's one in nearly every cell phone sold today). But nobody has figured out how to make a small camera with the sensitivity of a digital SLR that can take the same quality pictures in low light scenarios.

You're exactly right and I only recently found out they were using new RX heads too. Probably based on those results. I would be willing to bet a majority of the encounters on ALP are a result of scatter rather than direct hits primarily due to sensitivity.

    Thanks, RALETC! Thanks YellowCab!

I was wondering what happened with the testing of Veil.

    Thanks again.

Veil testing was occupying too much time because we were running baselines on every gun and we had 4 jammers to run on top of it all. We were able to complete some testing and a pattern was forming, but really no change in what we had already tested. Veil was getting PT's under 1000 ft on nearly all of the newer guns. The only gun Veil G5 had some success with was the Kustom Pro-Laser IV in which we were unable to obtain a PT until about 400 ft. I personally believe this was due to the amount of pulses required by the PL4 to determine a speed reading. If the required pulses is high, that means any interference would make it difficult to obtain a reading. This would also explain why jammers have no issues with it as it is "easy to jam". That being said some of the newer guns like the XLR, SX, Dragon's, etc were easily able to obtain a speed reading around 1000 ft. We still want to do further testing with Veil, but it is going to require dedicated time. We can't just mix it in with the others because it takes too long to gather baselines, paint the veil, and re-run. The one thing I will say is that the product did seem to provide you in general about 3-4 seconds of jamming above 1000 ft, and maybe 1-2 seconds under 1000 ft based on the testing we were able to complete, but it will not provide STG performance from what we have seen. Also, we (RALETC) still feel these tests were inconclusive because we were unable to run the Veil G5 on our vehicle with a production version of the product. The vehicle was a dark gray Porsche Boxter with large headlights not our white Nissan Altima.

The firware is much different from what is currently publicly available. The fibers are available.

I knew the firmware was new but thought the fibers were only for the side (ENRAD protection), didn't realize they had fibers for the front.

I don't think the ones we tested in AZ are the same or available yet. They are due to be released by end of May 2015 because they will have new connectors. I think you are right the only ones available now are for ENRAD protection.
