I have BT android and HiFi. I been using HiFi becuse must easier to use. I going to upgrade my s3 to a iPhone 6 and may use s3 for ALP only then, no problems with andriod version.
ALP Quint - HiFi BT
Net Radar Front and Rear
Note 2 dedicated ALP Display
Uniden LRD 950
BlackVue 750
Waze
IPhone User 6s plus
Wilson Moble 4G Cellphone repeater
Dukes said it all , though i cannot compare versus BT operation. The Hi-Fi is easy to set up , not one beat missed after 3 months use. I fire it thru a wireless switch...all sweet.

I've run both and prefer the HiFi module. I like that it's one less thing in your dash, no worries about phone batteries going dead, needing to plug in a phone or automate the startup/sleep process if it's a dedicated phone, etc. It just works.
I do like the visual confirmation of the gun ID though on the phone when you get shot, frequency display for radar, and history of most recent guns you encountered for easier review.

haha, you'd probably get ALP Connect popping up with YaV1 overlaying on top of that. You can still access ALP Connect just fine as long as you tap outside of the overlay. I see this happen when I'm trying to use Waze while YaV1 is popped up. I have to press around it or wait for the overlay to go away. Fortunately the ALP app lets you tap anywhere so you can still JTK just fine.
