It's great seeing this information being shared with the public. Thank you for releasing it. It helps educate the community so that everyone is more well informed, and it also helps light the fire under jammer manufacturers to release new updates. This is the cat and mouse game between new guns and new updates in action.

In the video you mention that it jams all known and unknown lidar devices. That's a pretty big claim, a very important capability. Jammers like the LI and 905's use lookup tables to recognize known pulse patterns and then jam accordingly, and they also have generic jamming algorithms for unknown guns that they can use as well, but obviously that doesn't work for all guns out there.

What's different about the ALPs that let it jam ALL known and unknown guns?

The Claims in this video are not ALP claims. They are the claims that Laser Interceptor makes. AntiLaser has never promised support for unknown guns but we do go out and acquire just about every gun possible to make sure the customers are protected. If we cant get a gun we will try to borrow one or even find people in enforcement willing to let us record their police issued guns or record them ourselves with the built in recorder in the field. Every customer can be part of the solution and a quick recording can be emailed and support will be in the next update. The first 5 or so Laser Ally gun Algo's were done without AntiLaser even having a gun in their possession. The ALP also uses its own proprietary software which is a game changer and it can operate like no other jammer conventional jammer. We cant explain how the ALP can accomplish what it does and I am sure you all can understand why we cant discuss it.

Oh, "It Jams all known and unknown lidar guns" is an LI claim, not an ALP claim? I read that wrong then. Rewatching the video, I see what you're saying. Thanks for clarifying.

The fact that the first five Laser Ally algorithms were jammed without ever even having the gun is pretty awesome. Realistically, it's near impossible for any jammer manufacturer to get ahold of every version of the gun, so this is pretty huge.

I understand if you can't publicly share the inner workings of the ALP's proprietary software. What are some of the features and benefits of its jamming capabilities beyond "Well we have a jamming algorithm for this and they don't?" Jammer companies do issue updates periodically so unless the ALP can do something that its competitors won't ever be able to do, it's only a matter of time before other companies release their updates and the playing field is level again.

All you have to do it look at the DragonEye Compact... Every pull of the trigger is a unique random pattern and yet it can Jam it. The proprietary method it uses cant be duplicated since it has worldwide patent protection.

I would love to see LI "level the playing field again". Competition greatly benefits the consumer and we all just want the best possible protection. Since last year it seems ALP has been making all the moves. They have actively set out to defeat all the DragonEye hardware and have been very successful thus far. LI on the other hand took the approach of well if we show them our hand then they will just change the algo again. That decision was not in the best interest in the community. That decision was made to protect their sales. That should have been the first clue to LI that what needed to be done was much more than conventional way of doing things. Dragon knows how to beat the conventional way and as you can see from the video the other gun companies are figuring it out too!

Yeah that's incredibly cool. Sounds like a technique other than lookup tables are being used then.

Competition is good for everyone and we all want the best products possible. Definitely.

You're right that there's a TON of exciting innovation in ALP land. Things seem to have slowed down and matured with Blinder and LI, and that's pretty typical. Lots of R&D at first and then ride the wave to maximize profits from all the initial hard work. At the same time, they do tend to be quiet about the finer points of what all they can and can't jam. To be fair, in the past many of us decided that this was the best way of handling things too and would shy away from disclosing certain things in public like QT and details regarding the DALA as it was seen to be in the best interest of the community to not educate LEO's which would simultaneously not completely inform the CM community as to exactly how protected they are. LI isn't the only one doing this. Are you guys more open about the details here on this forum?

just makes me wonder if Cliff is losing interest, or if li will go the way of blinder, would hate to that happen, as been mentioned competition is good, ALP has picked up the ball and and sure is running well with it

I think it is still appropriate that some things are kept out of the public eye; however, I will say things are much more open here.

    Going off topic:

The ECCTG private forum and then RDF were formed as a direct result of The DALA, Dragon and an attempt to stop educating LEOs on his they can beat our CMs. With Belscort selling the STiR+, releasing BS/RDR on the redline, the Max, and V1 now having band seg, the community is now protected from QT, so now it is fine to discuss it publicly. Now that the ALpriority jams the Compact and the DALA, they are no longer an issue. Now Blinder and LI need to step up their game, or they will lose the support of the community, or everybody buys a Priority.

When I see the teaser picture it looks like a stealth LEO Camaro with red lights activated.
