Thanks guys, so can you confirm the speed noted in the display. Is it the speed you were going when it detects the laser then you have 4 seconds approx to slow down therefore not the speed it would nab you for?

Yes, its the speed at which you were travelling when it first detected the laser

    Nope, not from that height.
You would need to put "parking sensors" facing up towards it.

    Looks like there is some more info on invalid infringements ;

Poliscanspeed Court Evidence 2011 Germany Traffic Test Case Poliscanspeed Court Evidence

Except "... It must be noted that the height of the perspective evaluation template according to the manufacturer's instructions should always be exactly 1 m - no tolerance , not roughly , not " there-abouts " - but exactly 1 m. This perspective is, however, not amount calibrated size and therefore to be regarded not necessarily as safe..." Google Translation.
    http://www.policespeedcameras.info/i...gal-fines.html

So now we know that the evaluation template height should always be 1m, as well as Vitronic's existing guidelines for valid photo evidence

    Poliscan new checkbox template?

Does Poliscan now use a different checkbox template?

I'm in Perth, Western Australia and I've just seen a photo and it now has a "crosshair" instead of a box - is this a new version of Poliscan ?

If yes - how do we now evaluate the photo if its a valid ticket?

If not, anyone know what laser speed measuring device it is?

    Thanks.

Thats probably from the new Jenoptik TraffiStar S350M that was approved for use earlier last year in the Gazette.

Method of operation is very similar to Poliscan. No one has a copy of the specifications or manual yet, so hard to say what is and isn't valid

Ok thanks - do you know if most laser jammers pick these up (not for jamming) but to detect these lasers? I'm thinking of older Blinders or ALP's - would they detect these?

Does anyone know where - if any - there are fixed/permanent Jenoptik TraffiStar S350M working in Perth? I'd like to test them out :-)

Blinders - don't know - very similar to Poliscan, may alert occasionally.
    ALP - detect / jam since 2014
LI - doesn't detect / jam - very similar to Poliscan, may alert occasionally.

The only permanent one I know is the one on Indian Ocean drive about 110km out of Perth. You'll come across a mobile one on a tripod soon enough. They are much harder to detect than Poliscan (lower power), even the mighty V1 won't give you much warning.
