    New California Digital Plate

Looking to see what everybody thinks about the new California Digital Plate?
Yes I know it is only the back plate and the LEO only shoot front plate but from what I understand Calif DMV is going to do away with front plate requirements. This new plate is highly visible day or night and has a large reflection surface. I have a feeling the LEO and the Lidar guns are going to learn how to shoot back plates.

From what I told from a Reviver Auto Rep. Is that Reviver is working with the DMV and the State of Ca to make that change.

I guess I am confused on why anyone would want this. Leaving aside any concerns over privacy and tracking, it's a $700 item +/- plus installation and a $7/mo. fee.

Beyond the nerd/gadget factor, what is the point?
