    Cool Tested My ALP front and rear with a Bushnell ProX 2 Rangefinder

    I wanted to try and test my ALP with a Bushnell ProX 2 Rangefinder that cost $500. My ALP is set on PDC & LID, LID time 4, After LID time Warm Up, Pro Mode Enabled, Skip First Warm Up Enabled, Voice PackMode Enabled for the HiFi control set. 2 sensors in the front and 2 in the back.
    The Bushnell ProX 2 is a really nice rangefinder to test with though I am not going into full detail because I only had a limited amount of time to test with it.
    The rangefinder only works for distance and Not for speed. I only wanted to test if it will pick up the laser on the ALP using the Bushnell ProX 2.
    In a quick way to explain about this rangefinder...I find a spot from a distance and the finder will get a distance with a cross hair on the eye hole. Once it finds the spot you want to get a distance the ranger will lock the spot and vibrate to confirm the distance. If you point the finder to a spot to get a distance it will get a reading but it does not lock the spot and does not vibrate it will not be a confirmed reading. This is the quick way how I understood how this rangefinder works.
    Here's how I quickly tested it out by myself.
    My ALP was on and my recording app on my phone was turned on to record the sound.
    I walked several feet away from my car and pointed the finder to a few objects to test the finder out. Remember The finder will get the distance, lock the spot and vibrate to confirm if the finder gets the distance but if it does not lock the spot and vibrate its not a true confirm. When I got done testing the finder, I walked several feet away from the front several yards away and pointed it to the plate, head lights, fog lights and side turn signals. I got a reading on all those spots but it did not lock the spot and vibrate. ( the ALP was jamming the finder ) I also did that in the rear by walking several yards away and pointing it to the plates and back lights and turn signals. I got a reading on all those spots but it did not lock the spot and vibrate ( the ALP was jamming the finder ) I tried it with the ALP off and tested the front and rear and it got a reading, locked the spot and vibrated. ( this confirms that the finder got a confirmed reading ) I checked if I had any punch through's but did not have any.
    To confirm that my ALP worked and jammed the Bushnell ProX 2, I went back to my car and listened to my phone recorder and too gladly say that my ALP did jam the Bushnell ProX 2 and with my HiFi Voice Control it announced ( TruSpeed S ) In the Front and in the Back.
    This is a quick way to check if your ALP is jamming correctly by using a Bushnell rangefinder. By the way, I purchased the rangefinder to test my ALP and I returned it the same day and got my money back.

    When I tested this range finder, I was curious when I targeted the front...It jammed all the key areas in the front: Plate, Headlights, Turn signals & Fog lights. I went a few yards and thought about an area where it can be a weak spot where others may not think to be targeted at. So, I tried the side mirrors and yup... It pick it up and the range finder and did not block this area.

    Do you think that State Police and other Officers who are using Lasers Guns target the mirrors and get our speed? Because, I found this to be a vulnerable target area that maybe over looked and is not covered by our laser jammers.

    Aren't those things actually made by LTI? I think that's why it's detected as a TSS.

    I had 2+1TX installed on my car lately and experimented extensively with the head placements using a DETC. The mirrors do definitely PT, but it's at extremely close distances. In my case, it was less than 50 feet. At that point, the angle between the shooter and the car has to be so great that even if you do get a speed reading, it's much less than what you're actually going at. It's also a very small target that you have a small timeframe to get a lock on. For most driving speeds, it's not worth worrying about. I did however have PT on the roof at distances less than 100 ft. Can't seem to be able to find a placement that gets rid of that. But again, at most driving speeds, it's not enough time for a lock. You would shoot other areas of the car first.

    You cant use a Range Finder to test your ALP System. You need a real Laser Gun. Range Finders require only 1 bounced pulse to get a distance. The ALP to prevent Jam indicators will allow several real pulses through by design to not look like its being jammed. You need consecutive pulses to calculate a speed which you cant emulate with a range finder.

    Yes it's made by LTI and detects as TTS. It's the same maker for this range finder. They also make other range finder that calculates speed.

    Of course it's best to use a real laser gun but this is just for fun to test ( and it reads as TruSpeed S )
