I will be picking up a new car in a few weeks and have been doing research on built in's on this forum. Found a lot of info. One of the things that concerns me is will I be able to program these new devices.
Good to be here

Be Welcome Purple1

What i hate from NYS is

1) Driver Risk Assesment
2) Agreement with Qc for demerit points.

But hopefully there is a solution ...

Well you will have no problems programming, many of us have done it thousands of times and as YC said there are a lot of instructions and videos on the forum.

What car were you looking to get and what CM's were you planing to run on it?

It will be a 2015 corvette. I am leaning towards the alp and the stir plus. Any thoughts?

Its the best combo if you are looking for a custom installed detector.

In your area with the redlight and now numerous speed cameras, I would do the STiR and the ALP but not integrated. I would definitely use Escorts/Beltronics Defender database (don't get Escort LIVE) and also use the phone app WAZE.

Love the new Corvette, sweet car.

For a remote stealth set up the ALP and STIR+ is definitely a great set up. You will definitely want to run a 4 head set up with the ALP for better protection.

Only other things I would consider is running a v1 with the setup and running a few apps. Escort has Escort Live as an option that you can run with your stir+ and there are apps like Waze too.

Good luck and definitely post some pictures of the car.
